Free Modern Slavery and Exploitation Training – March 2026

Public Health Buckinghamshire are pleased to offer additional Modern Slavery and Exploitation training sessions, following the strong engagement with our previous events. These sessions will feature case studies and guidance on reporting through the National Referral Mechanism (NRM).

This training is particularly valuable if you can identify potential indicators of modern slavery but are unsure how to respond when encountering individuals in possible exploitative situations.

The session will clarify common misconceptions, highlight current trends, and strengthen your awareness of exploitation and modern slavery. It emphasises the importance of early prevention, offers insight from a victim’s perspective, and explores the challenges that may prevent disclosure.

The training is free of charge and delivered by Bal Howard of BKH Training and is part of our countywide commitment to increase the awareness and understanding around Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking, which sits within the work of the Safer Buckinghamshire Partnership.

The training is designed for front-line workers from statutory organisations and those who work in the community supporting people in vulnerable circumstances. If your work puts you in situations where you may encounter people in exploitative circumstances, this training will be extremely valuable to you
