This will be the 5th meeting of the BOB Polypharmacy Community of Practice, which has been developed by the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (BOB ICB) and the Oxford Academic Health Science Network (Oxford AHSN) as part of the national AHSN Network polypharmacy programme.

This session will be focused on bone health the prescription of bisphosphonates with Kassim Javaid, Professor of Osteoporosis and Adult Rare Bone Diseases, University of Oxford.

The BOB Polypharmacy Community of Practice is open to all health and social care professionals, representatives from healthcare groups, patients or individuals from patient groups or organisations within the BOB ICB area.  Its goals are to:

  • bring together individuals and organisations with a common interest in helping to reduce overprescribing, and improve medicines safety and people’s health
  • foster a system-wide culture of collaboration, shared information, learning and innovation
