Contractor Workshop – Anticoagulation & Thrombosis

This Anticoagulation & Thrombosis teaching session for community pharmacists, pre-regs and technicians will be run by Victoria McDonnell, Lead Anticoagulation and Thrombosis Pharmacist at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The session will cover both Direct Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs) and warfarin, exploring indications, doses, interactions and duration of therapy. It will also include a review of counselling points for assisting your patients. Signposting to other sources of information for both healthcare professionals and patients will be highlighted to assist with the DMS and NMS reviews.

There will be some time at the end of the session to ask questions. However, we would also welcome your questions in advance by email to doacsupport.ox@nhs.net (subject ‘Anticoagulation & Thrombosis Teaching’).  The session will be recorded for those unable to attend.
