MECC Link

Following collaborative work with partners in Reading and Buckinghamshire, we are excited to now share the updated MECC Link website for the Thames Valley across Berkshire West, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire (BOB).

The MECC Link website is a simple online tool to support the MECC approach, it provides suggested open questions utilising the 3A’s framework and signposting information for both local and national services broken down by a range of healthy lifestyle topics. Additionally, tabs at the top of the page provide further details about MECC training within Oxfordshire, the resources available and contact information.

We hope that the MECC link website will act as a one stop shop for finding out more about MECC in Oxfordshire and supporting MECC conversations with regularly updated local support services across the region. The website is also designed for use via mobile or tablet in recognition that MECC conversations are often opportunistic.

I will shortly be incorporating information and links to the MECC Link website within our training resources, so please do check the Knowledge Hub to download updated training slides and documents. In the meantime, we are excited to continue developing and refining the content included within the website for the Thames Valley and we would love to hear your thoughts and any feedback as you explore it.

Try out the MECC Link website here https://www.mecclink.co.uk/thames-valley/ and see how it can support your MECC conversations.

Additionally, please do continue to utilise and promote the Live Well Oxfordshire website as a signposting resource. Live Well is a fantastic resource in providing up to date and comprehensive information regarding adult services and support in Oxfordshire. If you would like physical copies of the directory contact Lucy Price, Interim Health Improvement Practitioner, lucy.price@oxfordshire.gov.uk.
