CPPE – Optimising Infection Management

26th September 2024 19.00-21.00

Bracknell Open Learning Centre, Rectory Lane, Bracknell RG12 7GR

This CPPE face to face workshop will help you interpret antibiotic prescribing data for your local area and identify opportunities for improvement to support delivery of the UK Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) National Action Plan.  As the pharmacy workforce is being increasingly called on to work in this area of practice, you have an exciting opportunity to improve antimicrobial stewardship (AMS).  This workshop will also support pharmacy professionals in community delivering the NHS Pharmacy First service.

This programme will look briefly at local prescribing data and explore red flag symptoms and self-care advice for sinusitis and urinary tract infections using person-centred scenarios.   The workshop will also provide a great opportunity to network with colleagues across primary care to tackle antimicrobial resistance as part of a system-wide approach.  CPPE tutors will support you to think about relevant applications to your own area of practice.
