Heat Health Alert Service

The UKHSA and Met Office provide alerts from June to September to warn of high temperatures that may impact public health. Aimed at health and social care professionals, the service helps manage risks during extreme heat. Alerts cover England only, and extraordinary heat health alerts may be issued outside this period if needed, following the Adverse Weather and Health Plan.
