Thames Valley Formulary Update

As we establish ourselves as Thames Valley ICB one of our key ambitions is to move to a single, unified formulary across our geography. We now have a Thames Valley NetFormulary site https://www.thamesvalleyformulary.nhs.uk/.  The formulary chapters will remain hidden until the end of the year whilst we explore moving to a single Thames Valley formulary.  Initially this will likely be a single formulary site showing historic place-based decisions and new TV decisions together, rather than a fully clinically aligned formulary.

In the meantime, we will continue to use our place-based formularies for formulary decisions, during this time the Thames Valley NetFormulary will be used for clinical documents only. Our place-based and Trust formularies can be found using existing links.

New TV Formulary layout: The document store contains all of our guidelines, position statements, shared care protocols and patient information leaflets. These are split into legacy BOB documents, legacy Frimley documents and new Thames Valley documents.

The historic BOB and Frimley websites and the links included on our current formularies to these sites will work until 31st July, and we are exploring whether we can extend this to cover until the new TV formulary is fully functional. Please note, the previous sites have been archived so cannot be updated, so although they can be used, for the most up to date documents please use https://www.thamesvalleyformulary.nhs.uk/

Actions for Practices:

  1. Update your saved links from the OLD formulary website(s) to the NEW Thames Valley formulary page for the most up to date prescribing guidelines, position statements, shared care protocols and patient information leaflets please use https://www.thamesvalleyformulary.nhs.uk/
