To meet contractual requirements, all pharmacies must have an HLP Leader and Health Champion in place. Further details are available on the CPE website.
Please note:
- Reassessment for HLP is now every 3 years, rather than the original 2 years.
- The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) are no longer commissioned to conduct quality assurance visits or maintain an HLP register. This means the HLP register available online is out of date and inaccurate. Contractors will also no longer receive certificates or logos to display in their pharmacies. (This does not prevent any pharmacy that meets the HLP Level 1 requirements being able to meet the PQS criterion.)
- The process for accreditation is now solely by self-assessment. Contractors are required to keep their evidence portfolio with their completed assessment of compliance on site, and no longer have to register externally with RSPH or any other organisation.
